Scope of Function:
The Senior Account will be responsible for preparing financial reports, performing account analysis and reconciliations, preparing tax returns, assisting with audit preparations, contributing to the development of new accounting systems and procedures, and performing other accounting duties as assigned.
Reports to: VP, Finance
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinating accounting functions and programs.
- Preparing financial analyses and reports and analyzing trends, metrics, benchmarks
- Preparing revenue projections and forecasting expenditure.
- Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
- Assisting with annual audit preparations and investigating any audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance.
- Preparing federal, state, local, and special tax returns.
- Coordinate with Operations team to conduct and analyze inventory counts.
- Develop, implement, and maintain construction management system, including setting up projects (jobs), budgets, job costs, cost codes, contracts, purchase orders, and various Statement of Work progress reports.
- Analyze and review Statement of Work status with Project/Operations Managers. Direct and participate in cost analysis.
- Dedication to continuously improving the automation of the accounting and reporting process.
- Performing other accounting duties and supporting junior staff as required or assigned.
Required Qualifications/Skills:
- Highly organized/ Very detailed oriented
- Payroll
- Account reconciliation
- Budgets
- US GAAP
- High proficiency in MS Word Suite
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Self-Motivated
- ERP experience
- Strong individual contributor
- Must be hands on with exemplary Excel and Data Analytics skills
- NetSuite Experience is a plus.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting, Master’s Degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience
- CPA Certification preferred.
- I deally would like this role to have familiarity with the operation of a Biologics facility
